Jenkins Living Center has always been known for its excellent service. Therapy is an integral part of the service that focuses on the patients’ well being. Jenkins has made a strong commitment to ensuring high quality care with the addition of permanent in-house therapy staff. 

The Jenkins Living Center rehabilitation program has been customized to meet the needs of Jenkins Living Center residents, staff and outpatients. Experienced therapists work as a team to develop personalized treatment plans to promote development of functional skills. Comprehensive evaluations and use of innovative techniques help individuals achieve optimal independence.

Jenkins Living Center has focused on becoming a leader in the rehabilitation of the older adult by using experience rehabilitation staff including:

Physical Therapy – working to increase mobility, strength, coordination and balance including teaching walking with assistive devices (canes, walkers, prosthesis)

Occupational Therapy – working to increase independence with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, cooking, etc.) through purposeful and meaningful activities.

Speech-Language Pathology – working to increase a person’s ability to understand others and express themselves when communicating and also addressing the strength and coordination of the mouth, face, and throat for eating and swallowing.
